
Marc Weber
Marc Weber is a specialist in art law. He was a sub-member of the Independent Commission of Experts Switzerland – Second World War (Bergier Commission) and collaborated on an expert opinion on looted art (1999). Marc Weber gained international prominence with the legal dispute concerning the restitution of the Beethoven Frieze in Vienna (2013) and the international legal assistance in criminal matters concerning a painting allegedly attributed to Leonardo da Vinci (2019). As an expert in art law, he advises private collectors, auction houses, museums, foundations, banks and insurance companies.
In addition, Marc Weber is predominantly active in corporate and contract law as well as inheritance law and advises private clients on all aspects of family and inheritance law, with particular expertise in international estate planning and dispute resolution.
Marc Weber is the author of numerous publications in the fields of art, inheritance and civil procedure law and regularly lectures international art law in Switzerland and abroad.
